Between all the adventures we have actually crocheted (if you might wonder...)
Here's the evidence.

On the first day in the medina, we met Hamid (a friendly male crocheteer) by chance. He was making beanies with a homemade hook and seem to enjoy himself.
We learned the Moroccan-style crochet by Aisha on the Place des Epices and we had lots of fun working on our daily 'petit projects'.

We laughed and learned a lot and it was awesome to notice, how everyone totally relaxed during crocheting. Love it!

Chambres d'Amis in the middle of the medina of Marrakech is our basecamp during the Cool Crochet Workshop.
An urban jungle in this crazy crowded city.
After a busy day in the souk, a daytrip to the mountains or desert it feels always good to come home to this green oasis.

My friend Ank is the owner and years ago she transformed the ramshackle riad into paradise! It truly is a delightful place, where you feel welcome and at home straightaway.

The cool crocheteers, together on adventure!

We were in the desert, on the square in the spice souk, in the Atlas Mountains, in Jardin Majorelle and at Chambres d'Amis.
We had a great time in and around Marrakech.
By now we are all back home, but our thoughts are still there.
Thank you Agalize, Amanda, Angéline, Ank, Beate, Caron, Conny, Cornel, Ellen, Marie, Monique and Rosa! Xx

wool love

Wool love!

This is what happens when you gather a group of wool-addicted woman from around the world to buy wool in the souk. On the first morning of the 4th cool crochet workshop we visited woolheaven to buy new yarns. The funniest wool carrier ever, brought back the 'private purchases' of the workshop participants to riad Chambres d'Amis, so we could continue our walk with only one big bag of wool to Maison de la Photographie, to start with the first 'lesson'.

After a lovely moroccan lunch we enjoyed the laid back feeling of crochet with a view on the High Atlas Mountains drinking mint tea & moroccan coca cola. Really cool to experience how quiet and peaceful it gets with so many crocheteers togehter. Good vibes!

dress & beanie

Tomorrow I'm off to Marrakech.

You can follow our adventures during the Cool Crochet Workshop on Instagram @woodwoolstool.

Yesterday I received lots of cool comments on the sweaterdress-post and even more questions about the beanie I was wearing.
It's from Marrakech, made by Aisha and I will bring back some more beanies this time.
When I'm back I will also write down the pattern of the beanie soon, so you can make one yourself.

If you would like to knit your own sweater dress you can find the P A T T E R N in my Etsy shop. It's also possible to write me an email for the pattern (info@woodwoolstool.com).

knit a sweaterdress

October update in the wardrobe.

Love this time of year, when you can walk outside with a cardigan or woolen sweater.
Last year I made two sweater dresses, one black and one natural colored.
I lived in those sweaters until spring.
Today I did a seasonal update in my clothes rack; summer dresses out, wool stuff in.

If you want to make your own knitted sweater dress you can find the P A T T E R N in my Etsy shop.
